Recently the Minister of Human Resource and Development has attended to convocations of Indian Institute of Technology, first one at Mumbai and second one at Kharagpur. in both convocations he made his believe in superstitions and pseudo scientific interpretation of ancient texts and believes very loud and clear that ancient texts contain knowledge which is far ahead of modern science. obviously, without any proof or rational.
Interestingly this happened in front of the Directors and many academicians who are also eminent scientists. But no one spoken word then or later. Is it career or fear that is prevailing intellectual particularly, after 2nd term of NDA regime?
This implies is very dangerous Trend. speak up rise and protest otherwise you may save your career, you may save your skins- but you will not be able to save academic or Science.
